“The Conference of Northern California Handweavers, Inc. was founded in 1963 to further the art and appreciation of the craft of handweaving. Today the member Guilds of CNCH embrace all fiber arts associated with weaving. Membership includes not only weavers, but also dyers, basketmakers and spinners.” Publishes an online quarterly journal, CNCHnet. Sponsors an annual regional handweaving and fiber arts conference and workshops. CNCH sponsors an annual conference for handweaving related fiber arts.  In even numbered years, a full conference is hosted, featuring seminars, workshops, exhibits, shows, and a marketplace.  In odd numbered years, an alternative retreat-style conference is hosted, where the offerings vary.

“Founded in 1969 to inspire creativity and encourage excellence in the fiber arts, the Handweaver’s Guild of America, Inc. brings together weavers, spinners, dyers, basket makers, fiber artists and educators.”  Publishes Shuttle, Spindle and Dyepot, sponsors Convergence an international handweaving and fiber arts conference in even numbered years.

A group of weavers dedicated to expanding the boundaries of their handweaving, and that encourages members to develop their own creative style, inspiring others through research, documentation, and innovative ideas. Members challenge their skills and imagination by sharing information and innovations with fellow weavers – both directly and through study groups, Seminars, and Journal. Publishes an e-journal – Complex Weavers Journal three-times per year.  Sponsors a biennial conference in the even numbered years.

New England Weavers’ Seminar is an organization of New England Weavers’ Guild organized to promote interest in, and to improve the quality of, handweaving and related arts and skills, principally by means of a biennial seminar.  Sponsors a biennial, regional conference in the odd numbered years.

The MidAtlantic Fiber Association (MAFA) represents and supports a community of fiber arts guilds in the greater Mid-Atlantic region with the goal of promoting fiber arts education. MAFA is best known for its biennial conference held in mid-summer in odd numbered years, the all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization provides ongoing financial grants, fellowships and scholarships, to promote education, development and public outreach in the fiber arts.
